This weekend's ROCKIT Open Air

Due to the changeable weather forecasts, and with the 2008 edition fresh in the memory, the organisation of ROCKIT Open Air has decided to divide the terrain up differently.

The new setup will mean that the ROCKIT podium, which is always an open air arena, will now be undercover. The arena has been relocated and is now in the centre of the terrain. The setup means that the areas which are located by the water are switched to dry land. An effect of this is that The Art Of stage has been cancelled and Great Electronic Beats and Foxes & Wolves are combined.

Another consequence of this is that the programme has been adjusted. Marco V, who would have hosted The Art Of, has now been moved to close the Paradise People tent. The programme has been changed for this; Erick E and Bass Kleph have been switched. Extended Music's Hardsoul Live and Phonic Funk will perform at the Paradise People area. Last week the long term weather forecasts remained good, but the rainy days changed every 4 hours. At a certain point the production crew must begin building the covers – better be safe than sorry! Even in the event of rain the party can continue in the dry.
